BEACH

Forte dei Marmi is a beautiful, charming town with a long beach and many beach clubs. One of our favorite place is Gilda Beach, make sure to call/email for a lunch reservation in the restaurant. Local markets in town for the weekend.

Viareggio is a more relaxed long beach promenade with both private beach clubs and a public beach.

Livorno a great place for swimming from cliffs in crystal clear water. Our favorite places are; Spiaggia attrezzata La Ginestra, Punta Pacchiano, Scogli Piatti. Bring a picnic or have lunch at Precisamente a Calafuria.

Lerici a bit further away but well worth a visit. Beautiful pebble beaches and turquoise water. Spiaggia Fiascherino Beach or Eco del Mare.

Marina di Vecchiano a relaxed public beach. Reserve a table at L'Osteria del Parco for a good seafood lunch.

WINE

Discover the many beautiful wine areas around Tuscany, here are some of our recommendations of villages and vineyards.

Montecarlo only 25 minutes away from Villa Buonvisi, a charming village located on the hills with stunning views. Our favorite wineries are; Fattoria Montechiari, Fattoria Borgo la Torre, Buonamico.

Lucca a wide selection of wineries just around the corner. Our favorites are; Fattoria Sardi, Terre del Sillabo, Fattoria Colleverde, Tenuta Lenzini.

Bolgheri known for the "Super Tuscany"-wines, a charming village and scenic roads. Book some wine tasting and finish with lunch in the village. Wineries: Fattoria Terre del Marchesato, Azienda Agricola Villanoviana, Caiarossa (Livorno).

Greve in Chianti lovely wine area with rolling hills and a charming town. To mention some vineries; Vignamaggio,Vicchiomaggio, Badia a Passignano.

TOWNS/CITIES/VILLAGES

Some of our favorite destinations to experience good food, culture and scenic views are;

Lucca 10 min - A great selection of restaurants, bars, some shopping and charming piazzas. 

Firenze 50 min - A beautiful city with a lot of history and culture. Great for sightseeing, dining and shopping. Take the train or go by car and park near the Santa Maria Novella station to avoid the city traffic.

Pisa 25 min - Take a stroll around the leaning tower and enjoy a drink at a nice piazza.

Pietrasanta 30 min - A charming art village close to the sea, great antique shops and beautiful sculptures at the main piazza.

Montecatini Terme 25 min - Montecatini Terme has long been known for its 'healing' thermal waters at least since the time of the Romans. Make sure you take the train "Funicolare di Montecatini" and visit medieval village Montecatini Alto.

Cinque Terre 1 h 15 min - The famous "five villages", absolutely beautiful scenery. Hike between the villages and finish off with a dip in the turquoise sea and a seafood pasta. Drive to La Spezia and take the train to Riomaggiore (7 minutes). 

San Miniato 45 min - A medieval village located on the hills of Pisa, known for their truffle. The last three weekends of November every year the village arrange a big truffle festival.
